Run-and-shoot offense pioneer

A couple of comments I found interesting:

"Hall of Famer QB Jim Kelly set records playing for Davis with the Gamblers and loves the offense, but says pass protection is the reason it is not fully employed in the NFL today.

“The quarterback takes a beating when you throw the ball that much,â€

Why do defenses almost never get to the TT QB even though they are running a very similar offense?

Maybe they use the John McKay blocking technique:

They split the O-Linemen very wide. They have huge linemen but use small RBs. Everybody holds.

Size, agility, depth, size. They have it all on their line.

I think it was 2 years ago that they started 2 freshmen. Harrell does get the ball off very quickly.

TT is going to be a powerhouse this year now that they play defense. I'm glad we finallly got them off the schedule.
