Did anyone else see the uniforms from the St. Jude's visit? They are light blue. At first I thought none of the guys made it. I hope those are not our new uniforms.

Check out photo number 15. #8 Martin is shown from the back. Relatively dark blue jersey with white stripes on the sleeves.

They appear to be just about the same color as Tulsa's which is not-traditional SMU Blue. I'm skeptical about this color as well. The picture of Martin in the hallway(Picture 16) makes them look a tad darker. Geez why do we always have to reinvent the wheel when there is a consensus of exactly the way they should look.

They should be the color of the blue in my avatar.

The color doesn't look bad. Combine it with white helmut and pants will be sharp. Red and especially white jerseys should also be on target.

The SMU Football Poster shows the blue helmet stripe and blue Peruna outline which is probably closer to the jersey color than internet photographs viewed on a non-calibrated monitor.
We don't know the lighting for the photographs (snapshots) either.

Patience! :D

Jersey's will be fine. St. Jude's seems to be a wonderful place. Thank God for the vision of Danny Kaye.

I think you mean Danny Thomas.

They look freaking awesome.

We are in a little bit of shock because we've associated the uni with the horrible midnight blue for too long. I'm sure they will be the accurate blue when we see them in person.

This is Tulsa's actual jersey color, so that doesn't worry me. The photographer's white balance or our monitors are jacked. So all we can do is is see the similarities of our jersey color to theirs and hope for the best.

I'm okay with the return to the Pony Express look, but in the words of George michael, "if you're going to do it, do it right." The issue is with the execution of the stripes. Where did they come from? Seems kind of like someone said, "We can't just do a plain blue jersey. No one will buy it." There is either too much white or not enough red. My take.

What is so wrong with this?

I guess Yogurt would tell me, "Murychandizing. Murychandizing. Murychandizing."

The blue is a huge improvement although it's not an exact match to the "Pony Express" blue. I don't care for the stripes on the sleeves, but I think my opinion will change once we see them in full uniform. Once they put on the white pants, the white helment, and white cleats, then the stripes on the sleeves will blend into the rest of the uniform. It's not the "Pony Express" exactly, but it is a huge step towards the glory years.

I think the stripes on the sleeves kick b*tt ! I want one ! Finally, a real classic football uniform instead of some dumb arenaball look or danzskins. If the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears wear em on their sleeves, why can't we. At what point during the last 15 years did someone decide to make football players wear ballerina costumes ? How about those plain red pants worn by some teams like NC State--pretty gay I say. I'm satisfied with the new look, especially the jersey and white helmet. We'll wait and see about the color of blue, but it appears so far to be an improvement. Mark me down as satisfied.
