TCU is a rival. The BSC and its cartel members are the enemy.

Wall-to-wall Big 12 media day the last two days, though.

I still say lock 'em out when we win the conference one day.

I thought TCU was going to own the MWC and then it would become a BCS conference. What went wrong with that master plan? Hmmm.

That was the spin.

In reality the jump was to validate their hubris and get away from an inferior SMU. When they don't win the non-BCS routinely (if at all), the reality will be a bit painful. Mountain/Pacific Time Zone challenges, lack of travel companions/fans/parents and budget challenges for non-revenue sports.

Their ego got the better of them and they couldn't see what the downside of not winning every FB game and missing out on getting their ticket punched to BCS. BB and the rest of their sports pay a bigger penalty.
