Apparently the senior TE-turned-OT has been serious about the idea of bulking up for his new position. Saw him at the beginning of the summer, and he said he was "about 260." Wednesday afternoon, he was in the weight room on a day off, absolutely busting it with nobody else down there, and he said he already is up to 277 pounds. Looks extremely strong.

the problem will be maintaining that weight during Two-a-Days. At least he can eat anything on the Menu.

Very true - once they get out there in pads and start running and hitting ... a lot of guys lose significant pounds.

We always knew he could block. If he can hold his weight, he might turn out to be a really nice addition at left tackle.

The thought during his recruitment was that he could likely end up at tackle.

He may be a natural at the spot.

My thoughts exactly. If he was on the path to being a tackle, I wish the move had been made years ago, so he could change his lifting and his diet to the point that he'd be comfortably over 300 pounds now.

Either way, here's a guy who was very heavily recruited and chose SMU over a lengthy list of other schools - here's to a fantastic senior year, Vincent!
