Homecoming is next month? Wow, we don't even have a home game in August. I'm guessing the turnout will be pretty low.

How did you know? It was played at my father's service in Perkins Chapel.

MM1965 - that's a true fan and alum right there.
When I pass on (hopefully a VERY long time from now) I want to have a funeral like the Steelers fan did a few years back - set up in a recliner and watching the game. Playing Varsity in the background would be a nice touch.

Oops.
Dad would have been 84 this Tuesday (July 29th). Thanks for the kind words, 03. Dad was SMU's #1 fan.

Sounds like Perkins Chapel is the best place to get married or have a funeral. My wife and I were married there in 2002 and my father was the minister. Sorry to hear about your father. Mine passed away 2 years ago just 3 months before my parents' 50th anniversary.
