I'm sure we will get the proverbial "Cindarella Story" support from fans (and media) that finally want to see us win, with the possible exception of the state of Hawaii. [However, I will say a buddy of mine was there a few weeks ago on the beach and once the locals found out he was from DFW, many said they are pulling for Coach Jones with his new team.]

It's a rather unscientific sampling, but I'd say the majority of Hawaii fans are pulling for us. Now if we could just get certain frequent posters on this site to support the team.

We're getting TONS of positive press and will continue to do so. JJ's been a major shot in the arm. Now let's see if we'll be allowed some optimism on this board or if we're going to be subjected to daily recruiting gloom and doom SIX MONTHS before signing day.

Optimism is well-deserved, but should be tempered with reality. This is a brand-new offense, and we might well take some lumps early on. By the time we're in the C-USA part of the schedule, though, we should be performing better. Put me down for five victories this year, and a bowl next year.
