These five former college football powers may not rebound in 2008

http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-duf ... 344.column

"Fresno State, Wake Forest, South Florida, Illinois and Brigham Young all cracked Friday's first USA TODAY coaches' top 25 poll.

Five schools that didn't make the cut: Notre Dame, Alabama, Nebraska, Miami and Florida State."

My how the mighty have fallen.

Other story is interesting as well:

Reggie Bush denied arbitration in court case

http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-bus ... 4061.story

They are planning on deposing Bush on Sept. 9, Bush's stepfather, on Sept. 10, and Denise Griffin, Bush's mother, on Sept. 11.

And on Sept. 13 USC plays Ohio State.

I'm glad SMU is beyond all this.

BTW Feel free to delete or not read if uninterested.
:D

Kinda sounds like he's surprised that they're not.

The only one out of those that might deserve to be up there is Alabama, but they don't.

Florida State will be there before the season's over.

South Florida had a great year last year, but it's still strange to see them there. Fresno? Wake???

The times, they are a-chaning.

i feel good that they are giving us a chance to rebound even if it is becuase they probably forgot that we exist.

on another note....its about time that Reggie Bush got the book thrown at him, maybe the deserving player who should have won the Heisman (V. Young) will get awarded the trophy now.
