ESPN Chat

Today, ESPN really kicked off its college football coverage. Many of their analysts participated in the chat including Graham Watson whojoined ESPN.com in 2008 after four seasons covering the Missouri Tigers and the Big 12 Conference for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. She also covered college football recruiting for the Dallas Morning News. I pulled a theQ&A blurb about SMU.

Paul (Denton, TX):. What kind of an impact will June Jones have on SMU?

Graham Watson: I think SMU will win six games this season, but look out for them to be a power in years to come. I really expect SMU to be scary in a couple years.

I think it's great for analysts especially those familiar with SMU's situation recognize that potential that the Ponies have under JJ.

Actually, the toads to the West are....

Great quote on the Day of Infamy. Love historical context. It took the USA three and half years to defeat Japan. I believe we will be top 25 within the same time period.

Thanks, I'm pleased to aim... or somesuch. Funny thing is, I felt bad about it but hit submit anyway. I don't really have any animosity towards UNT but I really just don't like Denton, I don't like the UNT campus, and would have never wanted to live/go to school there. I do have a couple of friends that went there, and they certainly have all of their teeth, but I figured that given the right context, I would make that same joke with them in the room - which is normally a rule I have for posting online, if I wouldn't say it out loud, don't type it on the internets.

Agreed on all counts.
