I had to use a poltically correct form of the slogan about what JJ and the ponies should do to the Owls. With our road record aghainst Rice, this the talonowl quote ought to make good bulletin board material.

I have a lot of respect for Rice as a university, and they have done more with a lot less support than even us over the last 20 years from both the university and its alumni. I don't think anyone down there takes football all that seriously...even their "smack talk" is 99% tongue in cheek and all in good fun. That being said, that game 2 years ago still hurts. That was the longest drive up I-45 EVER.
Rice baseball, I like. Rice Football, I can't wait to frickin' stomp on August 29!!

Their band is tired and kind of 70's - they have not been funny for a long time - unless you are a useless nerd. In fact, they have not been funny for about as long as we have been out of the running for bowl games
