that could bite them in the [deleted] if they're not careful (which I would so dearly enjoy watching).

He's pretty high up the list and would be great in the Pac10.

That's what I thought, but he passed on pursuing the UCLA job when it was open. Unless he is waiting for the USC job to open up, I'm not sure which Pac-10 job would intrigue him. Only a handful of schools are willing to pay really big money.

No school has come close to offering the money Tech has put up for Leach in past attempts to sway him from Lubbock.

Tech has shown faith in Leach by raising his contract a few years ago (without a single south division championship, conference championship, or BCS appearance, as well as a 3-13 record against UT & OU).

If Leach reaches a BCS bowl this year I think you'll find he'll be nicely compensated in his extension.

I mean, it's not like Tech won't be able to find the money afterwards, via Hawai'i... :wink:
