Rice seems a bit overconfident.

Why shouldn't they be. The last time we beat Rice in Houston, Reagan was in office and Michel Jackson was only on his fourth face.

Sounds like they have a clue as to our key offensive weakness (the line) and how to attack it. I would not be surprised if these Rice Owl fans don't turn out to be clairvoyant. We need some quick and successful early plays against the blitz. That will decrease their confidence in the pressure defense and put them into more of a coverage defense. That will help us. Also, JJ may have some running attack plays to keep the up front a bit more honest. The truth is, we need to see how well our line does early and hopefully they can handle a pressure defense.

Let 'em come and shovel pass to DMart. That'll slow down the blitz.

"August is pretty good, but I think June is the best month to be an owl fan!"

what does that even mean?

I would guess that is because August is when their suck football season begins and June is when their excellent baseball program is in the College World Series.

Thanks. I thought they were poking fun at JJ. Something they will live to regret, if not this year, then next.

Reading all that made my head spin. They are definitely heady geeks.

JJ has said in the past that he prefers to be blitzed. It leaves more recievers open. So bring it on Owls. You are playing right into our hands.

I loved that little screen pass to the flat with pulling linemen in short
yardage situations that Gregg, and Rossley used.

Beat UCONN for us in 89 :!: Would've beat Rice on 4th n 1.
