Mention of SMU being considered for the Big 12 if they expand by 2. Surprised no one mentioned this when I posted it in another thread. Further down the page.

I didn't realize Coacheshotseat.com spoke for the BCS. We've been over this many, many times...we've got a long, LONG way to go to even think about moving up to a better conference. We can't even get out of the cellar of C-USA.

If, a big if, we ever get a chance to join a BSC conference, I hope it is any conference other than the Big 2. Texas, Texas A$M, TTU and the rest sure did sell us down a river when they had their chance. There is no reason to think that they will not do it again.

I would rather the SEC but that is unlikely as well.

I can't tell by reading it if he is being serious or if it is part of the vision in 5 years that he is talking about

That's not the problem that people make it out to be. Win and we'll do it.

That, however, IS the problem people make it out to be. Or at least it has been for the last 20 years.

Talk about putting the cart before the horse?? Maybe we should try winning, or maybe filling the stands before BCS talk.

TCU is a MUCH more attractive choice than us right now

Indisputably true. And I believe (which is another word for "expect") that it will happen. Whether we win enough and are in the right place at the right time to garner an invite to a BCS conference is another matter entirely.

Hey, we will have the best gymnastics team in the country for the next 4 years. That alone should guarantee a berth in any BCS conference in the country.

I understand that, but knowing you as I do, I know you have believed (expected) that for the last 20 years. Well, the last 8 or so anyway, since you've been posting here. I believe (expect) the earth will have another ice age too, but I have no expectations as to when.
