Just got a call from PonyPride. All the media is up in the press box today (ergo, they must be practicing in Ford). They're not allowing anyone access to the field today.

We'll post as soon as anything significant happens.

Stay tuned.

Good thing there's no spread in the box this time.

No spread in the box? I'm afraid that one went over my head General. :?

In other news, Tommy Poynter is currently lining up with the first team at left tackle... At least for today.

New rotation at receiver....

First team is the same: Sanders, Robinson, Zimmerman and Bryant.

2nd team is now: Wilkerson, Beasley, Lofton and Shaun Moore... Moore is an athletic freak (see Pride's strength report) who didn't get a chance to do much last year, but June has mentioned last week how he's been impressed by Moore's improvement.

Good test for QB accuracy today, as the rain is starting to come down.

Bailey brings considerable size to the safety spot. Running 2nd team with Chris Banjo as he has this fall. Bailey just muscled two receivers out of the way to make a slick interception.

Who is Shaun Moore? Never heard of him.

After taking a few days off due to a tender ankle, Kelvin Beachum (who assures us he'll be ready for Rice) is back doing drills with the OL. Currently running with the 2nd string OL at Left Tackle.

Rest of 2nd string line: LeRibeus at LG, true freshman Blake McJunkin at center, Zach Boyd at RG and Kelly Turner is rotating at right tackle with Jimmy Chase.

It is amazing to me that a Division 1A Football team could have a two deep at Receiver that is as poor and as questionable as this.

That's rich coming from someone who thought the recruiting was manure over the last several years. Now, we're paying for it. Get off the false astonishment boloney.

MM65,

Yes there's some drizzle. Field looks sloshy and the ball is probably wet.

General,

Moore is #29. A sophomore 6'1 180 lb. WR from Lake Forest, IL. He got in there a little bit last year, but didn't do much. He's is gifted with crazy athleticism. June called him out as one of the guys whose development he's been really impressed with.
