I wonder if JJ is pushing him to get up to speed faster and looking to bring him in as the starter eventually?
Would JJ do this to psych his freshmen into upping their game faster.. and to push his upperclassmen to work harder?
Just a thought..

sounds okay to me...i am sticking with JJ on the QB call. He knows his system and will play which ever guy he thinks fits best - just as he has said all along.

Somehow I think he made Willis #3 because Bo and Braden are better suited to run his offense. Simple as that in my opinion but nevertheless Willis could get a chance to play.

That's something you do in the spring.
You don't make your two year starter 3rd string a week before your first (conference) game in an attempt to motivate. JW is done here and I hope for his sake he transfers ASAP.
He deserves better. (I know he screwed up in the spring but that doesn't mean his career should be over. He does have some talent.)

missing spring hurt him, his turn to be a role player.
JJ didn't shut the door on him, if he improves and performs at a high level running the offense correctly, he will see the field.

If you belive that I have a bridge or two to sell you. JJ can say that all he wants toand it might happen if three other qb's go down but only if. The best thing the kid can do is find a new home fast.

You would make a very good politician because you keep dodging the same question ive asked you all day.
WHERE WOULD HE TRANSFER?

If he wants to lose a year of playing eligibility then any D1 school that will take him (Tulane would be a good fit would only have his senior year) if he wants to play two years then it has to be to a lower level school. Just about any lower level school would take him.

Any c-usa school is unlikely. Most coaches will not allow a transfer to a conference opponent

There's a Div. 1-AA (FCS) school in Huntsville,TX that's had pretty good success with QBs who transferred from SMU.

JJ doesn't impress me as the type that would play mind games with his players. This is a monumental mind game if JJ's reason is to motivate JW. JJ appears to be upfront in his words and actions. I don't think this is a motivating move. I think JJ believes he has two QBs better prepared and sited to running his offense.
New coaches and new schemes mean some players are no longer capable to perform in new scheme.
Joe Ferguson was a great throwing QB at Arkansas many decades ago. He enjoyed significant success in the NFL with Buffalo. He also rode pine his Sr. year at Arkansas because a new offense coordinator eliminated the passing game for an option game. Ferguson was good in the passing game but didn't have the skill sets to play the option game. Great QB in the wrong system. Nothing says that this isn't the case with JW as well.

Yea i know that but TBA seems to know that JW is about to transfer and I just want to know what he thinks his next destination is.
I dont think transfering is the smartest thing for Justin. he'd most likely have to work his butt off even harder to try and start next year.

I had the same thoughts about motivating Willis. Then quickly wrote it off. I just can't imagine JJ playing mind games.

In the DMN's today, JJ is quoted as saying that JW had been struggling the past several weeks. After watching his video interview on PonyStampede and reading his comments in the paper, I believe, in fact, JJ went with the QB's he thought gave him the best chance with his R and S offense. I was initially very disappointed with the decision but have faith in JJ that he made the best decision for the future of this program. We shall see how it works out. We probably have not seen the last of JW.
