So how do we feel the day after this monumental news?

I'm still indifferent about it. I kind of thought this year was going to be a washout anyway.

I was a bit more optimistic, I predicted 7-5 and a bowl, now I am thinking 3-9.

I feel a little stiff this morning because my arthritis is flaring up. Weather change don't you know. But thanks for asking.

But you feel better than Wally Hall, don't you?

I was a bit shocked by the news, but will take the very odd approach of actually waiting two or three games to see what the freshmen can do before freaking out.

Ought to be fun.

A good sign you are becoming a ponyman.

I feel better than any Beloved Razorback groupie, including Hall.

After one night of being completely pissed, a bit better this morning for the following reasons:

1. Justin made it easy for Jones and has no one to blame but himself. Missing Spring put him in the doghouse from the start and he missed a valuable chance to work out the kinks then instead of 2 weeks this Fall.

2. The season's success is going to rely on many other things. If this new defense doesn't work out or significantly improve, or if the offense can't handle the blocking schemes and the receivers can't run the routes...it won't matter who the QB is...we would go 2-10, even with Peyton Manning at QB.

3. I still think it would have been wise to start with Willis at Rice and then ease the freshman in if Justin wasn't getting it done, but I am not a successful coach being paid 2 million to make these decisions...so I defer to the man that is.

/cheers

I feel GREAT! (my vision is blurry after reading all of yesterday's posts on pf.com, though) I am more excited now about the Mustangs new season than ever! I'm ready to go to Houston and see JJ's premiere as SMU's new head coach! I'm ready to see Bo Levi Mitchell's premiere as a Div. 1-A QB in his hometown (o.k., Katy is a suburb of Houston for the purists out there) and in front of a lot of his friends, family and Mustang fans! I'm ready for the college football season to start! AUGUST 28th & AUGUST 29th CAN'T GET HERE SOON ENOUGH! :)

I thought I would be really upset if JW was not the starter, but I feel good. I am thrilled for BLM and I just hope he can keep a cool head.

I knew someone would go back and find that post...or the MM65 Manifesto.... As someone on here said yesterday, 20 years of losing will make a person crazy. It's a new season. New attitude. Wipe the slate clean. I'm ready for FOOTBALL!

I just wish you and Stallion didn't have so GD many posts...that was more work than it was worth to pull that up. I knew Stallion had posted it, but I couldn't remember the name of the thread.
