Willis vs Rice- 2006 and 2007

Just FYI, Willis's stats against Rice his fresh and soph years:

2006 at Rice: 8 for 19 (42%), 137 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, 45.2 QB rating. SMU loss.

2007 at SMU: 13 for 31 (42%) 165 yards, 4 TD, 2 INT, 71.9 QB rating. SMU loss.

Throw in the fact that JJ believes Bo Levi can execute his offense better than Willis can and I'm not so sure that our chances to win vs Rice have changed much. Remember that EITHER QB, learning a new offense, will have a few bumps in their first few games running it, not solely the true frosh.

Justin Willis did a lot of good things as the SMU qb but I haven't lost sight of the face that that (i) he was 0-2 versus Rice and (i) the Mustangs were 1-11 with Willis at qb in 2007.

hes always 0-2 against Texas Tech, UTEP, and UH

Might have been 1-1 against UTEP if he hadn't punched that guy.

yeah thats right, so technically he only lost to UTEP once.
