It will be short today. Got here late, and they're cutting it short today because of the Kickoff Luncheon.
Kelvin Beachum is still running with the second team.
Fantastic catch by Josh Bryant: BLM just fired a 20-yard pass downfield ... Bryant got up between two defenders, hands well out of bounds, and dragged a foot inbounds.

How's the QB play?

Might strangle my friends in the equipment room: lots of guys are wearing jerseys other than with their regular numbers, making it very hard to identify some guys. For example: Justin Smart, who regularly wears No. 40, wore Doak Walker's No. 37 Monday, No. 5 yesterday and 5 again today.

In the 10 minutes I've been here, BLM has taken just about every snap thus far, and has looked sharp on the short and intermediate stuff. Just fired a nice long pass of close to 50 yards, but just overthrew Emmanuel Sanders.

The keeper of the star is right now pounding his fist on his desk saying, "I told you so.''

You mean you can't identify SMU players by their gait alone?

I think that, Beachum's injury notwithstanding, it's important to see Poynter starting and it changes the whole complexion of the line with him there. Start Beachum, and we have two redshirt freshmen and another playing his first year as RT (okay, it's Chase, bust still). Having Poynter anchoring the opposite side gives us Poynter, Enright, Lobo and Chase making it 4/5 upper classmen, which helps Tennison.

BLM looks more comfortable today. Maybe I'm just seeing something that's not there, but he looks a little more relaxed. Making very quick, accurate throws on short routes, as is Braden Smith. They both look sharp, and they're the only ones who have taken snap, at least while I've been here. Since I got here, I'd say BLM has taken maybe 2/3 of the snaps.

EXTRA HOPS: one of the nicest catches so far - B.J. Lee just went up -- WAY up -- to grab a high pass in in front of a defender.
BLM then ended practice with a 50-yard strike between two defenders that Zach Zimmerman snagged. Beautiful grab.
Sorry it was brief today. More in-depth tomorrow.

From what it sounds like, the more reps Bo gets the more comfortable he is getting.

that gives me hope, let's hope that he settles in and shows why he earned the starting role at Rice
