JJ interview on Channel 8 Sports Special Tonight

The best part? No Hansen - Joe Trahan will be doing the interview.

I'm assuming it will be around 10:30. Trahan is very good at the interview and not a total [deleted] like Hansen...should be a good interview rehashing the same stuff we already know

Dastardly Dale Hansen.... I played him in a short once. Of course I changed his name to Dale Handsome, 'cause my mug is sooo good lookin'!

I also played Stanley Kubrick in a short once, that was fun. It was called Roommates, it was a what if scenario...... what if Stanley Kubrick and Jerry Bruckheimer were college roommates.

Funny short, but regardless, of course - Dale Hanses sucks. I mean, not totally, I always like that he was a 'deleted'... but he spent too much hatin' on the 'stangs.

Which reminds me, I loved T.O.'s shirt in that Hard Knocks episode... I [heart] haters - that was awesome.

What a great post I made there.... I totally contributed to the conversation. I almost deleted it after reading. But what the hell, my post count needs padding.

Uh, yeah, hope that the interview is online tonight. That would be cool, right? Something?

Soup, dude, totally true... but I did hear a promo on ESPN radio here where they played a clip of JJ being interviewed on, what is it called? 'The Drive' with Chip Brown and some other dude? Yeah, I almost crashed my car.

But I recovered as soon as I heard the subject of the little clip, they were of course asking him a question about Texas. But, I am pissed that I missed the interview..... but damn, it was cool to change to ESPN radio and hear a radio spot that featured, I'm quoting - "new SMU head coach June Jones"... that's [EDIT: SMU/SMU head coach] just something you don't hear from local Austin media. That was cool.

EDIT: It was a damn funny clip about not playing Texas.

I've worked in the media industry since graduating from SMU...and I've worked with many TV personalities in Dallas and LA.....Dale Hansen may be the biggest a** I've encountered in the industry.

Here's 3 I can think of for Dallas.

1. Dale Hansen
2. Verne Lundquist (former Ch. 8 sportscaster)
3. Troy Dungan (former Ch. 8 weathercaster)

at $2 million a year, he should have 10 pairs of SMU sweats. Seriously though, I don't think it is too much to ask your coach to wear an SMU polo, or hat during a local TV interview. You think Mack Brown has ever done a TV interview without a horns shirt or hat?.....or Gary Patterson? That just really bugs me.

Napoleon complex. And it's 'Dungan' with a 'g', not a 'c'.

On JJ's interview attire: I agree. It's called 'marketing' and 'branding'. Since Stallion is now a fashion critic, too, maybe he can suggest what JJ should war to interviews. ;)

I've already said based on his wardrobe he looks best in Hawaiian shirts. Let him wear one because gawd knows what he might wear if he dresses himself. Maybe a good compromise would be a nice Royal Blue Tommy Bahama-he's a casual guy and he's going to look out of place in the typical coaching attire.
