So Rice returns 17 starters

...from a team that averaged 43 ppg to close out the year last season. How many freshmen/underclassment are on our 2 deep again?

43 points in its last four games against four of the worst defenses in the country.

Yes, but every time I see that 43 ppg to end the season, I am going to remind whoever said it that it was against three of the 10 worst defenses in the country (including SMU, yes) and the 87th ranked defense. Coincidentally, that game against the 87th ranked defense was the lowest output of those four games.

It also must be kept in mind that some of the Rice starters played D for Rice (if you can call it that) and we put up 42 points against them.

BUT WE STILL LOST!

I would never want to be included in a statement that said we were "one of the worst Defenses in the country" even though it might be true.

Should be a shootout if our D cant get constant stops

we want turnovers for takeaways, not just stops.
