I may eat Rice at Chipotle, but definitely not from Rice. Are "Newbie's" not welcome here?
Still looking for some discussion on the "why". I saw the "Sticky" info, saw the WFAA interview ( best material I'v seen ). I personally like the "message" sent if a new QB is on the field for the first series ( provided that he's proven himself to the coach/team-mates ).
On the "Why" - typical info / discussion is around holes filled, improved players ( year over year ), ... of course it works the other way too. One example - how many players on offense / defense are returning? Why is Rice more vulnerable this year? In what areas are SMU more vulnerable?
Has (and why) the Defensive line improved?
Most of the time the people on this board are very welcoming. However you will get bashed for grammar, not making sense, or just because you haven't been on the board. Some times it is ruthless. I understand the frustration of many on this board. You will just have to deal with any negative comments about things you might say and laugh it off. Keep posting because I like hearing every ones opinion. You also get some good info. about SMU football. The biggest problem I have had is that many on this board live in Texas and think SMU is only a Texas school, rather than a national university. We get news about SMU in PHX. If you are a Methodist it's kind of like our Notre Dame. So post and take the good with the bad.
On another subject, so much has been made about JW not starting......
That a freshman is going to start. JW had his best season at SMU as a freshman. I think he is very talented. I wish the best for him no matter his career path, NFL etc. He has taken a lot of hits on this board, good and bad. He has certainly my respect.
As for the Rice game, SMU will win in a blowout. SMU has a good chance to win at TT. Folks, remember the coaching at SMU last year. Don't ever say never. EVER.
