Interesting Dallas Observer article on the benching of JW hit newsstands today. Probably won't be available online until tomorrow, as Thursday is the official release date for each week's edition.
Anyone see this yet?
"June Cometh. Justin Gone."

You're a little vague. Are you saying he left the program or is this a rehash of what happened last week when he was put on 3rd string?

I gave up on that article when they said he was a young McNabb. Not a knock on JW but he is no young McNabb. maybe the second coming of Akieli Smith.

Akili Smith had a great college career. JW is more like a middle-tier D1-A QB that is probably going to be doing something else for a living after college.
Maybe baseball, from what I hear about his fastball.

my point exactly, JW had, i use in the past tense" a great college career but like Smith, just couldnt adapt to a new system, JW the run and shoot, AK, the NFL...

OK genius-he had 2 weeks splitting the time 5 ways. How in the hell can you come to the conclusion-he just couldn't adjust-amazing. Brennan said he didn't understand the offense for a year. Willis is the best QB on the team right now-only you little Pollyannas who believe in the tooth-fairy don't understand what is going on.

Always love the Pollyanna defense. Might be something Tom Mason looks into should the 4-3 fail him.

I liked the fact that the article addressed the stalking situation and pointed out that Justin did go to Bennet about the stalker, and Bennet didn't do anything. A lot of people who slammed JW for that incident tended to forget that he tried to do the right thing by going to his head coach first, but when nothing was done, he finally had enough and took matters into his own hands.
And of course, there's those who didn't know he even did that, and spoke with their head up their arse assuming he was just a thug.

Yeah, that seems random - I guess maybe directed at my post? I wasn't putting down JW's ability at QB...I wish he was still the starter. I was referring to his game as it translates to the NFL, which is probably worse than what Akili Smith was projected as.

There's two sides to every story. You cant attribute everything Willis says as 100% fact. You cant attribute anything anybody says as 100% fact. You arent Willis or the rainbow stalker. Only those two know what was up. Hopefully nothing at all between them. Hopefully.

Not really a thug, I just assumed there was a reason he was associating with a gay guy, and still kinda do.
