Granted, the network is pimping to raise its ratings tomorrow, but they just did their "WHAT TO WATCH" plug at the end of SportsCenter, and it was all about Coach Jones, talking about what he did at Hawaii and his plan to do the same at SMU.
Nice.

Of course, they also showed Cowboys highlights and referred to SMU-ex Richard Bartel as "Richard BART-el" (rather than bar-TELL).
Such is the anonymity of the third-string QB.

The biggest kick I get from all of the JJ lovefest is, knowing how it eats SMU haters alive!
Fear the SMU mob boss!

Anybody else catch the JJ references by Al Michaels last night during the Redskins/Jags game?

Very strange seeing SMU on SportsCenter. Hopefully we will be on again later tonight and tomorrow morning showing some JJ Run and Shoot highlights.

Hopefully they won't be Fall and Wobble highlights.

I'm much more concerned about the "Receiver breaks left, Quarterback throws to the right" highlights.
I'm having flashbacks of watching the Gilbride/Jones coached Chargers with Ryan Leaf and his recievers (the immortal Bryan Still and Charlie Jones... who? exactly!) never gettting on the same page.

Although watching a completely different kind of QB at Baylor, I did think about the Ponies often last night as a true freshman was thrust into the spotlight. Mistakes everywhere for Griffin going against a proven QB in Skinner. Am so hoping that's not what we have to look forward to this eve.

Unlike the fake ponyboy who posted on the DMN website that he's worried about the QB play, I'm actually not that worried. Will he make some mistakes? Yes. But I think he'll be ok.

Also saw the QB's at NC State and South Carolina last night...one got a concussion and the other threw three picks in less than 2 quarters...
both freshmen i think..

To get you in the ESPN Spirit: BO LEVI (WHY CAN'T HE HAVE JUST ONE NAME) MITCHELL TO SANDERS, HE...GOES...ALL...THE...WAY.
MICKEY (I'M NOT A MONKEY) DOLENS SACKS THE RICE QB FOR A 10 yard loss.
