Rice's Clement, Dillard remain a dynamic duo

David Bailiff has one season of coaching at Rice under his belt. He’s viewed endless hours of film, conducted countless practices since his hiring and studied in excruciating detail every tendency of each player on his roster. Despite all of that, Chase Clement and Jarett Dillard continue to amaze and astound.
Bailiff had a bead on the potential of his quarterback-receiver tandem, but the gaudy statistics Clement and Dillard teamed to produce as sophomores in 2006 didn’t fully prepare Bailiff for what the duo could accomplish. Only the daily grind of practice repetitions can foster such an appreciation.
