Granted on TV the Uni's looked good even with the stipes on the sleeves but they screwed up the pants.

The pants have a Red, silver and blue stipe combo, as opposed to the red, white/blue on the helmet. The stripes are also too narrow. Can't we at least get the uniforms right. If we're going to suck, lets do it in style.

While we're at it - can we get our helmets to be more "white" like our jerseys... they looked like one of those "off-white" shades (need my wife to tell me which one) compared to the white jerseys.

My wife says the "SMU" on the front of the jersey is too small... To the point where it's hard to read on TV.

She's right.

We actually need to get rid of the SMU on the chest, we're not a high school team.

I know it's kind of a SWC legacy to have the team names on the chest but it isn't the 70s anymore. Chest names are for high schools.

I agree the helmet plastic is kind of cheap looking. Too much of a creamy gray - but overall the uniforms are a HUGE improvement.

The sleeve stripes will look much better on the blue jersey.

The helmet looks bright white in person, but at the game, it did look off white. Whats up with that?

Was Rice using halogen lamps? Some of those lamps give off a pinkish light that when reflected off a white helmet make them look more creamy than white. Welcome to physics and the light table.

my only complaint is with the stripes on the pants, way too narrow.... other then that I thought they were a huge improvement over last year

we always complaing about the performance on the fieldn and now we are complaing about the attire on the field? I think the Unis look just fine. sure there might be some kinks in them like the small "SMU" print like some of yall said but they look fine. lets start winning then we can complaing about the attire on the field

If you want the 80's look, all you have to do is use our pants from that era which I believe we still have & go from there. If not available, just duplicate that era's unis & leave it at that.

The '83 Cotton Bowl's unis were the best if you want that era. All in all, the unis were bad - real bad. Need I say more.

They can't even get that right.

the uniforms are f'ing fine, im sick and tired of little b**** complaining about the stuff that doesnt mean jack. the problem on the field last night was our limp defense and stick figure looking defensive backs

Uniforms looked just fine. Had we crushed rice you all would agree.
