I have an idea...

Why don't we actually use a quarterback who is used to the spread offense?

Turner ran this offense in high school and in spring practice and Willis ran a "version" of it last year?

If we want to go younger, split reps between Turner and Bo and see who performs the best on the field.

Just because JJ says that BLM is the future...... doesn't mean he is. I'm all for giving the youngster more reps to work into the office and grow accustomed to throwing it 50 times a game. But - from what I saw on rivals.com and at a few practices this spring and summer, Turner can absolutely shred a defense if given the time.

The o-line looked fairly good last night and I think any quarterback who is in there will have time to get rid of the ball if they make the right reads.

BLM won in high school for a team that ran the ball most of the time, which lulled defensive backs to sleep. This isn't "quite" the same offense as that......

Most people trust JJ as most people should. However, I'm just not 100% sold on BLM in this type of offense.

He played very admirably and I don't doubt his skills. But - fatigue and lack of arm strength late in the game aren't the same as saying, "He's a freshman.....give him time"..

If we are going to suck, let everyone see who truly "wins" the quarterback job.........on the field.

Better be careful with that logical thinking, those on this board that think JJ is God and can do no wrong will blast you for it.

That'd be great, except we aren't running the spread. It's the run-and-shoot.

Very correct. You can plug almost anyone with an Arm in the spread Offense but the run n shoot has specific standards at having a QB. JJ knows what he is doing. Sure Turner looked great when he was in the game but I have much faith in BLM. he did great to start the game. he'll get better, it might take all year but he'll get better

I have news for you also - if the head coach who is very involved in the installation of the offense says BLM is the guy - then he IS the guy. Its pretty much his choice.
