I'm juiced for Texas State

OK, the first game wasn't up to our hopes.
I am juiced for this coming weekend. First home game with real home uniforms that will look like SMU (white helmets and hopefully blue jerseys). I can't wait to enjoy the Vard.
Friday is the Letterman's reunion and hopefully it will be well attended and old lies and good times will flow (as will the beer). I am taking my old TE coach as my guest. I haven't seen him since his wedding in the summer of 1981.
We have the youngest 2 deep roster in the nation. That tells me that Bennett left the cardboard bear. The team didn't execute to perfection but did appear well prepared. The team didn't look like a total fire drill.
The season may well be along one where the miracle turn around just doesn't materialize. That doesn't change the fact that it is fall, football and fun on the Vard.
Time to move on. The coaching staff is paid to prepare the team and I pay nothing to whine on this board. The FBI would call that a clue. But I am juiced about the home opener and I can't wait to see folks I haven't seen since last year.

I am beyond testosterone now. It is just a natural high. Please note, my Freshman year, a hammer thrower at SMU told me that steroids made one's testicles shrivel up like raisins. That was enough information or me to never take steroids.

He also left the cupboard bare!
Teams improve most, they say, between the first and second game. Well we have a lot of room to improve and here is hoping we do so. In that light I am interested in seeing how we respond on Sat.

Should we mail it back to him? I think he might need that in Pitt. I hear cardboard bears are hard to come by.

They barely beat ASU? ASU is an average-at-best Division II team.

Hey! I thought all of the comments were about the 30 years of losing seasons. Seems reasonable!
So we lost to Rice! God dam it! Rice!
OK, Can we beat Texas State?
