Rice really impressed the odds makers with that victory over SMU. What does that say about SMU? Many on here pedicted SMU to beat Memphis. Good luck.
I said before the game that we had never seen this team before. I think I was wrong. We have seen this team before.
It's going to be a disaster this year. I acccept it. I'll be there (but not at away games). I know I'm a big fat crybaby. Maybe one day I'll be a little skinny crybaby. Stay strong my brothers.

Odd makers do not define the season. Just like your argument comparing last year's averages to one, your argument is fallacious - this one is a ignoratio Elenchi. The odds on games from other teams in our conference make absolutely no statement about the outlook of the SMU season - The opening odds for Memphis Rice makes no difference to me and are especially meaningless one game into the season. Talk to me again before we play Memphis.

I am talking to you before we play Memphis.
SMU lost badly to Rice. Memphis is favored over Rice. Not stretch to think that we could possibly be in trouble against Memphis. Of course by then we will be rolling and all will be right in Pony Nation.
Go Mustangs. Blast the Cats!

If only our defensive backs could backpeddle as quickly as you are doing. Ridiculous.

So I keep getting confused by the Cheerleaders-are we supposed to lower our expectations or raise our expectations? The EXACT same people who claim NOW in September that we should have KNOWN ALL ALONG that this would happen were the EXACT same people who were spouting off in AUGUST about how "we are going to kick Rice's butt"(we're those your exact words General Backpeddle?) and were among the 50% who predicted a winning season. If some of you Cheerleaders who know ZILCH about College Football and have proved it over and over every year would shut the hell up in August about how great we look in Fall Flag Football drills this site wouldn't have near as many pissed off people.

I had the tequila flowing me and I was farting around and everybody knew that. Besides, you have said that we shouldn't lose to Rice period. Or did you forget that? I just followed what you said.
In essence, you were saying we were going to beat Rice. I think you're the one who is backpeddling you fraud.

Nacho - I first believed you were making satirical remarks, but now I am not so sure. Memphis vs SMU - Nov 8th - 69 days away. Take a deep breath and say "serenity now."

Usually, when the keeper of star loses an argument -- like he did on this one -- he leaves the thread alone and won't respond.
Kind of like the ballad of the Devil went down to Georgia.

Why bother playing the games if the oddsmakers know everything?

So basically, you covered your [deleted] on both sides. You picked Rice, but you also said that SMU should never lose to Rice. Period. Way to straddle the line, so you could tell everybody how right you were!
See you Saturday.
