WR Aldrick Robinson Recommended for Fantasy Football

WR Aldrick Robinson, Southern Methodist
If you had the opportunity to watch the Friday night game between Southern Methodist and Rice, you probably noticed that the run-and-shoot offense is in full gear for the Mustangs. Unfortunately, the offensive execution is still not quite at the level it was at Hawaii, but that will come. This is a team that is going to pass the ball early and often. Therefore, Aldrick Robinson is a player fantasy owners should consider picking up this week. In the first week of the season, Robinson caught seven passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Robinson is not a very big receiver at 5-10, 170 pounds, but he possesses great speed and has the ability to separate from defenders down the field. The sophomore wide receiver also received a great deal of praise from Coach June Jones in the preseason and off-season camps and looks poised to be a reliable fantasy contributor in 2008. While there might be some inconsistencies in this offense for the first several weeks of the season, Robinson does have some solid value.
