Attendance question

What is the expected attendance for the first home game under June Jones? I have heard Texas State will bring a lot of fans. I expect a lot of SMU fans there or I will be pissed. I cannot wait until Saturday. We finally have a proven Div. 1-A winning coach. I have been waiting for this for ten years. I will bring Mrs. Billy Joe and little Billy Joe with me so that is at least 3 people.

I'll be there too.

Lets just hope that marginal fans didn't watch that horrible defensive performance against Rice.

Much, much less than it would have been if we had beaten Rice. That really, really dampened the enthusiasm of a lot of casual SMU fans I know.

Depends what he means by "a lot". If 100 is a lot to you, you'd be very happy. If 20,000 is a lot to you, you;d be very pissed. It's all relative.

I predict an announced crowd of 17,000 and an actual crowd of 2,344.

Not including the backup singers who will fire up the players by annoyingly repeating the lyrics to the great song, "PONY UP".

does your count include both teams coaches, the players, and all other staff/security. plus the vendors?

and I think for attendance purposes SMU should be allowed to count both teams players and all the staff plus the security people and the food vendors

Don't forget about the kids playing football behind the scoreboard, and anyone who glances in from the Mockingbird fence.
