SMU-Texas Tech To Air On FSN

Sept. 5, 2008

DALLAS - SMU's game at Texas Tech on September 13 will air live on FSN,
the network announced today. The matchup will kick off at 6 p.m. from
Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, and will mark the sixth time in the last
seven years the former Southwest Conference rivals have met on the
field.

The game will be shown regionally, with Joel Meyers (play-by-play), Gary
Reasons (analyst) and Emily Jones (sideline reporter) calling the
action.

The teams renewed on-field acquaintances in 2002 and played the
following two years and again in 2006 and 2007.

SMU opens their home slate tomorrow, Sept. 6, when the Mustangs host
Texas State. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. For tickets, call 214-SMU-GAME.

Most Football Fans in America and elsewhere will be switching to USC-OSU which starts at 5:00 PDT (which translates to 7:00 PM for you guys living on Tulsa Time).

So we can at least just TIVO the massacre for viewing in the privacy of a darkened room.

mas·sa·cre
Pronunciation[mas-uh-ker]
–noun
1. the unnecessary, indiscriminate killing of a large number of human beings or animals (i.e. MUSTANGS) , as in barbarous warfare or persecution or for revenge or plunder.

2. a general slaughter, as of persons or animals (i.e. MUSTANGS): the massacre of millions during the war.

3. Informal. a crushing defeat, esp. in sports (i.e. BY TEXAS TECH).

I just hope we are healthy coming out of this game, we have a physical TCU team after that.

I thought I'd elaborate on my post earlier in the thread. Horrifying this game will be telelivesed for this reason: yes I'm going. No big deal. I'm prepared for what I'll see. BUT...if it's televised..then for the better part of the next week I have to hear "hey weren't you out in Lubbock for that...I saw that..man..."

I prefer the anonymity of the scores at the bottom of ESPN scrolling across.
