Rice just proves that academics are no excuse for losing.

Don't Look Now, but Rice is 2-0 for the season and the conference. Their offense is amazing and their D looks to be getting better.
Funny, most of the "experts" picked them last in the C-USA West and it looks like they could give Tulsa a run for their money. At the very least, they are set up to make a bowl run.

BTW was that the "overrated" Chase Clement driving Rice for a 94 yard 7 play TD drive in the final 3 minutes last nite-in which he personally accounted for ALL 94 yards-plus a 2 point conversion pass?

As one who was underrating him, yes. Note I said "was."
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Rice has an interesting game this week. UNDEFEATED Rice v. UNDEFEATED Vanderbilt coming off its first victory over a Top 25 team in many decades in a crucial game for both schools. Let's call it the SAT Bowl

I will be pullin for my lil buddies down at Rice. I always cheer for them unless they are against SMU, they are the only team left that has been with us through all our conference trekking, would really like to see them go to a bowl unless its at our expense.

"Even the learned among us have a skip in their step. When Vanderbilt and Rice play in Nashville on Saturday, the winner will leave 3-0. The Owls haven't begun the season with a 3-0 record since 1953, when Frank Leahy still coached Notre Dame. By the way, Rice opened that season by beating Florida."

For what it's worth, and of absolutely no relevance to this board, but Rice has finally got that uniform thing down. No funny wings coming out of helmets, that kind of thing. I like their new look, dark helmets and all, and now they've beaten us, I hope the Owls have a good year.
