If I hear "HOW 'BOUT PONYING UP SOME NOISE!?!?!?!" 49 times next game, I'm gonna slap someone.

There's your replacement for THIRD DOWN THUNDER! (which was never uttered once by the P.A. announcer tonight)

Going to an SMU game is like attending a daycare camp for toddlers from the Park Cities. I've never seen so many babies, infants, toddlers, etc. at a college football game in my life! Sweet Christmas! GET A BABYSITTER FOR THE NIGHT!!!!!

Once upon a time, it was the cheerleaders that led cheers, held placards, and got the crowd involved. If we get the PA guy to shut his yapper between plays, maybe the cheer-folk can come up with something. The SWTxState@San Marcos fans had no trouble coming up with cheers without an annoying PA guy.

Yea....we tried that approach. It didn't work.

Get the megaphones and speakers back out and take it for another spin.

Anything, I say ANYTHING is better than hearing PA guy's repetitive schtick. Get excited about first downs, big stops, and other actual plays, and then have the courage to just say no and switch the live mike off between plays.

Hey. I resemble that remark. My 6 and 2 year old were at the game. Six year old has attended since she was 4 months old. Last night, my 2 year old could be heard screaming, "Go Defense!" with her mommy and daddy. The 6 year old is one of the best fans SMU has going for it right now. So no, I won't get a sitter. I don't expect anyone to be quiet so my kids won't be disturbed, but I intend to bring them to every game this season. They are why we bought 4 season tickets instead of 2!

I liked the guy better than what we had before.

We should go back to the days of all male cheerleaders, too, I guess.
