Interesting conversation
Posted: Sun Sep 07, 2008 10:16 pmI was standing in the south end zone letting my kids run around in the 4th quarter and a player from Nichols State named AJ Carter (http://geauxcolonels.cstv.com/sports/m- ... _aj00.html) came up and asked if I was affiliated with the program. Not sure why he thought that, maybe the shirt and hat I had on. Whatever the reason, he was a big kid, 6'3" and a solid 285. He plays D-line and wants to talk to someone about transferring to SMU--apparently his family wants to get out of LA. From his bio on the website, he is new to football (formerly a basketball player). Decent stats for his only year, but I have no frame of reference for the accolades he received (all-bayou region, e.g.). Would be nice to have his size on the D line.
