Hey guys,

Long time lurker, first time poster here. I'm a alum from '03 and am now living in NOVA. Does anyone here know of a place that will have the game? ....I'm willing to go to the lions den and watch it with the TT kids if need be.

Thanks for any help

I'm not in dc any more but the SMU bar for games last season was
Top Shelf, in Penn Quarter. Now it's called Penn Qtr sports tavern.
http://www.shelfdc.com/ You should call and make sure.

If you don't feel like going out there you can always go to Crystal City Sports pub. They'll have the game for sure.

Bugsy's in Old Town might have it too.

Funny, I've only been to DC two different times in my (adult) life, and I think I have been to all three of those places - though I am not sure, I know I was at least at two of them, and the third sounds like the name of a place I went to. Those two times have been in the last three years, BTW, and no, I do not know dcpony. So dc, how's NYC?

Not that my post helps Cache at all, just thought it was uncanny that I recognized all three names after not having spent any real time in the District at all.

Where the heck were these replies when I asked the same question about watching the Rice game in DC?

Cache, you decided anywhere yet? A buddy and I may meet up and watch somewhere in or around DC.

Out of curiosity. Will Foxsports SW be showing in DC?

This is not a nationally televised game.

That is my point. I think researching for a bar to watch the game in DC may be futile.

Any bar with a dish ought to be able to pick up FoxSW, no?

When I was in NOVA I used to watch the out-of-town games at Damons. There are a couple out there. But as has been said, it probably wont be available out there.

If willing to spend the money, anybody can get a satellite package that includes all of the regional sports channels.

I'm a 99 alum, 03 JD and just moved to Pentaon City a few weeks ago. I went to Crystal city sports bar on sunday for NFL games and it was awesome. Three levels, tons of flat screens and good drink deals.

Feel free to PM me if anyone's up for watching the game in DC area saturday.

I guess I am just stoopid then. I pay for the "We take all of your money and give you everything we have" package on DISH Network and I only get FoxSports SW on the Fox Sports Network. I can get Pay for View channels with other games and I guess that is what you mean, but the question is whether a bar in DC will pay for the SMU game.

Penn Quarter or the Crystal City sports bar are probably your best bet. I think Damon's went out of business at least the one in Springfield did. Any bar with a dish can get the game if they have Directv sports package. Just don't go to the Crystal City Restaurant by accident. You'll need lots of dollar bills if you get my drift. FYI - Dauphine's Steakhouse in Springfield lost its lease. For those in Dallas, that was a Gentlemen's Club with a rather confusing name. I used to live near Springfield and go to the shopping center across the street. You were always seeing people head toward the door kids in tow and turn around and walk out. Pretty funny.

There's still one in Fairfax and one in Chantilly.
