I knew Tommy Poynter was out with a quad injury, but I think the Ticket just said Mitch was out, and Blake McJunkin is in.

PonyPride, do you, are anyone else know why Enright didn't play? I'm pretty sure, I saw him dressed out on the sideline. Also, I saw Odiari on the sideline, but don't think he played.

Bobbi Roquemore E-mail News tips

SMU will come out in a different defensive set than it used in the previous two games.

The Mustangs will use a 3-3-5, with redshirt freshman Chris Castro (Allen) as the fifth defensive back.

So the starting defense appears as follows: DE Anthony Sowe, NT Evan Huahulu, DE Youri Yemga, LB Pete Fleps, LB Justin Smart, LB Julian Herron, DB Chris Castro, CB Derrius Bell, FS Tyler Jones, SS Rock Dennis and CB Bryan McCann.

In other personnel notes, C Mitch Enright will not start due to a hand injury, and true freshman Blake McJunkin (Plano) gets the nod. Senior RT Tommy Poynter is out (undisclosed injury), and senior Vincent Chase will start there.

Thanks! I don't think Evan played on the d-line, much less started, but I have heard to expect him to get more reps.

Or Banjo, McElroy, or Bennie Thomas? Kind of scary, when you have a tiny freshman walk-on, ahead of those guys.

You're talking about guys at two different positions there (safeties and cornerbacks).

I hope Evan H. does get some more reps. I believe he will give us a good push from the DT position.

For the life of me I can not understand why Evan is on punt kick-off coverage and not on the d-line.

And then again I am not a coach. I sure hope to see us rotate him in with Serge this game.

Peace through strength.

During the telecast the other night the announcer said that Mitch had a broken finger. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen.
