This is pathetic. Just when I think last year we hit a low. June Cometh an he lays another egg.

I still think June is the guy, but we are not improved. Don't even give stats, we suck.

Think how the members of the "Circle of Champions" must feel.................

Come on, did you really think in 3 games we would turn it around? This team already shows the basics of being better. We just do not have the athletes to compete right now. Look at the OL blocking tonight. 100% better than last year.

Yeah. A good DC would have jumped out on the field and made those tackles. But maybe he was too tired from running down the field trying to cover the receivers that our backs forgot to cover. Our DL is out weighed by the OL of Tech by an average of about 60 or 70 lbs.

SMU will have a quality team about 3-4 years after he gets some quality recruits. In CUSA you can possibly go to a bowl with pretty average talent-but I'm talking a quality football team capable of competing with the Baylors, Texas Techs and TCU and winning some.

Bennett had all that his first 4 years.

Close games with Tech, and Baylor.

Win over TCU.

Not that I want Bennett back.

I just hate starting over from 5 floors below ground level every 5
years.

Mrydel, I think you have it right. I see significant improvement. Last year the score would have been in the 60's. The D hung in there this year, for the most part, given how long they had to stay out on the field because of all the turnovers. Mitchell will be good some day, but it will be some time before he finally arrives. Considering all the freshmen and sophmores that we played, I think we finally will have a base to improve on next year. This year is another matter!

Really...all who have positive stuff to say are the real fans. I only have 15 years of losing. You who know 22 years of pain are clearly better fans. At this pace, I will know that kind of loyalty.

DBB see your other team had their second win. The game they lost to
NW they hung in to the end. New coach with an easy to learn system seems to be working for Duke.

Ozfan,

I wish your words were comforting. I am a Duke fan by blood, but a SMU fan by education. I want SMU football to win above all else.

I agree and the main problem as I see it is that last years’ class and this current class are not ‘Quality’.

That is the most disturbing thing here, not tonight’s score.

The knuckleheads on this board never cease to amaze me…we play a team in Lubbock that has over 80 players on their roster who had no desire to attend SMU because they had better offers; while on our own team there are over 80 players that TTech had no desire to recruit because they wanted better talent.

Somehow when these 2 teams meet we are suppose to be surprised when the team with the clearly superior athletes gives us an a**-kicking??

At least Doh has given us Dia and McCoy
