OL is a bright spot. A true freshman played the whole game at center...and did a passable job. For most of the game we had RS Fr, RS Fr, Fr, Lobo and Chase (playing his first year as a OT). Tech got pressure, but not near the trainwreck I anticipated.

Also, there was pressure on Harrell-more than I thought.

I saw a lot of players on the defensive side play that we haven't seen much of. Moczybemba. Kennemer. Fleming. Where was Banjo? McElroy?

Really wish we'd see more of Evan on the field.

Banjo got in there. Her was responsible for at least one very good defensive play.

i think our o-line is one of the few bright spots on this team, the qb is being given ample time to make a good decision. the big problem is that the qb is making horrendous decisions. i hope we hang in there vs tcu and do what we did in '05

Agreed about the O-Line, those kids are young and a bit undersized, but more often than not they are providing more than ample protection and holding their own in run blocking, has been that way all year.

Seems to me it's time to start praising OL coach Dennis McKnight for the job he's doing with those guys. They're really coming along well.

The offense has run 177 plays through 3 games and yielded 7 sacks. Can't find QB pressures or hurries.

No doubt Mcknight is doing a great job especially with the youth and injuries of late.

Considering the good job by the OL, don't you think it should be more proof to Coaches to give Turner/Willis a shot or will BLM need to throw another 5 picks against the frogs Saturday night to loose his job ?

Just watched parts of the game again. SO ANNOYED...my tivo cut off RIGHT as we caught the TD pass, leaving me with NO replays. quite annoying.

Oline has done a decent job in protecting the QB, but SMU has a grand total of 136 yards rushing after 3 games. At some point, the "Run and Shoot" has to establish a running game of some kind. The line has to open some holes. A successful offense cant be completely one dimensional.

Jones' genius may not be passing but O line play. He was very successful taking O lineman and getting them to the NFL level. ANd considering how much better the young O line has been this year over previous years, one wonders just how good these guys can get in a couple of years.
