Its a damn shame, he's just the type of scat back we need in JJ's gun

Tech fans were saying, Martin is the slowest back they've ever seen.

I don't know. I've seen him at practice, and he doesn't look slow at all.
But in games, he looks hesitant, and he's the type of back who needs to build up a head of steam. He can't start and stop, and then hope to accelerate through holes. He needs to put his head down and run people over.

DeMyron Martin had 55 yards on 13 carries for SMU in the first quarter before spraining his right foot. He returned to the sidelines wearing a boot

Sitting in the end-zone I had a good look at him when we were at our own 20! He always took a hestitation move, before jetting forward. Same thing many of you have said before. He just doesn't hit the hole, but seems to sit there almost like a delayed draw...which it isn't of course.

Our third team back (?) seemed to get it and there was a complete difference in the first 2-3 yards, just not a tough as Martin when he got going unfortunately, maybe because our offensive line was out of steam at that point in the game.
