I recall the 21-19 SMU win over TCU my senior year...in front of about 15-20,000 in the Cotton Bowl...to finish 6-4-1. We played in both the Cotton Bowl and the "new" Texas Stadium in those years. We always played TCU the last game of the season back then. The M&M Boys were good.

It would be nice if SMU could improve to the point that this series would be truly meaningful. How great would it be if SMU was competing for CUSA championships year in year out and TCU was doing the same in the MWC...and this game was moved to an "end of the regular season" slot once again (where rivalry games really belong). Maybe someday we could play a game with "winner gets a BCS bowl bid" at stake.
Under the current system, that's about as good as it could possibly get.
