I know the game didn't go your way, but you've got to feel good about your prospects. Jones is someone who will get your program turned around quickly, and I think with the system he uses, you'll be able to recruit players who will help you improve a lot faster than with a traditional system. Your team played hard, and they've got nothing to hang their heads about. We all know Mitchell is just young, and he'll have to make some mistakes along the way.
Good luck with TCU and for the rest of the year.

Good luck to the Red Raiders - tough road ahead. Appreciate the well wishes

TT will go 8-4. Lack of a FG kicker will doom them. You have to be able to make FGs in close games.

I don't feel good about things. Harrell doesn't look right. The offense really isn't "clicking" and I don't think our defense is any better. And, "yes" our kicker sucks eggs. I don't see how Tech will be able to beat OU, UT and OSU (who seems to have Tech's number).

But I do love how Tech Toddlers can join the Guns Up Club!! LOL. That is so appropriate. I kinda like Tech. Good luck this year.
My favorite college football TV scene of all time was about 10-12 years after Tech upset Texas at Jones and fans were going nuts on the field.
Sideline reporter Eric Clemons is trying to interview Spike Dykes and they're getting crushed by the mob of fans. And then some random Tech fan gets in front of the camera and shoots the double Guns Up and makes a goofy facial expression!!
One of the funniest things I've ever seen. Even upset Texas fans were laughing pretty hard at that..

No offense, but man I'm tired of people feeling sorry for us. Some day this will all be over. We either will win or I will be dead.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I wasn't trying to "feel sorry for you" so much as pass along some good wishes and point out that I think your school's program will improve rapidly under Jones since I think it has several of the components to do so. Your QB may be young but he has a good arm, you have fast receivers and you have a damned good punter/kicker (which we are learning is tough to be without).
Anyway, sorry if I offended. Wasn't trying to. Good luck with the rest of the year.
