...I just tried to order tickets for the game on Saturday and TCU is sold out. They told me to call the SMU ticket office. I've had big-time problems with Will Call at the last two SMU games (at SMU). I'm wondering if I should even bother buying in advance and risking another Will Call fiasco. Maybe I should just get there early and buy at the game. Any advice for is appreciated. Thanks.

Drive up to the visitor side ticket window between 5 and 5:30. That is, Mockingbird to Airline. Stop on the street and have a passenger run over. Then have a nice dinner and go to the game.
Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad

That's just the way I roll...plus I was waiting to see how many others would want to join for the drive over. Didn't figure they would be gone already. Did I mention I am lazy?

Actually a great idea....any recommended restaurants or places to grab a bite nearby? Within a mile or two?

Either Snyder Plaza at Hillcrest and Lovers, several restaurants, or more convenient, Mockingbird station across 75, several larger restaurants including Rock Fish and a English style pub (Trinity?) Then go north to the game shuttle, park and take the bus.

I would go to the Blvd -- there are community tents there where you can buy beer/food -- don't know of specific locations -- assume someone can provide.

I know will call last year was a disaster, but I haven't heard anything negative about the office after the Texas State game. Maybe they were able to work out all of last year's kinks over the summer?
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Unfortunately, that has been my impression. The last two SMU-TCU games I got to will call an hour before kickoff and was late getting in both times. The second time I got to my seats with 2:00 left in the 1st quarter. I've certainly learned my lesson and printed tix online. Now if I can just get over there in time to avoid the ticket scanning issues I heard about from the TX State game.

Arrive early, get your tickets, and then party on the blvd. I actually hope TCU brings the whole town with them. The more people the better. I think in the near future SMU will have a team as successful as TCU. I do predict this will be a good game. Once the run and shoot clicks with the team, SMU will be tough to handle. I cannot wait until Saturday. Ford Stadium is a fun place to watch a game especially when it is full.

I went and bought mine at the tix office, but I think you can buy online and print out on your computer. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't go out at halftime and get a beer at your tailgate, you instead are held hostage by the bands. Looks like a flask will be in play.

Seven Eleven on Mockingbird has the new cheeseburger dogs. I didn't want to suggest anything too fancy for you country folk from cowtown.

Good idea...maybe I'll swing through Dairy Queen and pick up a blizzard for dessert!
