...I was insulted. I thought the effort was p!$$ poor. I thought the energy bit. I thought the game plan ( such that it was) was terrible.
And I have come around on Bo Levi. He isn't ready. that intercepted shuffle pass was the straw that broke the camel's back. He isn't getting better.
Willis can't do worse.

saw it coming right when the team came on the field. No fire whatsover. There must be a complete lack of any leadership on this team. thats what happens when coaches hand over a team to freshmen who have not shown or earned squat. I dont even see any athleticism to be hopeful about. even though he didnt pan out, even Chris Phillips had "something" as a freshman. even though tcu whipped us that day (what was it 2002?), he made plays and fought and clawed. none of that tonight.

My wife had surgery this week (nothing too serious) and has literally been off her feet. I have had to work and take care of my wife and two kids by myself all week. All I asked for was some brief time to go to the SMU-TCU game. I had to make arrangements for someone to watch my kids and someone to help my wife. I still couldn't get to the game on time. All so I could go and watch that sorry excuse for a football team get out hustled, outworked, out game planned, out coached and outclassed.
Thanks, SMU. In the future, please send me an email when the team decides to show up. Then, I might also.

sadly, the crowd appeared to be much more SMU tilted than I imagined. It appeared as though SMU drew some of those "casual Dallas sports fans." Guess we've seen the last of those.
Getting pummeled I can almost handle. Another turnover on the first possession of the game I can't. A gift int TD to a lineman I can't. Another short int I can't.
I do appreciate the players playing hard. It would, however, be nice to mix in a stop on 3rd down once in awhile. Who has the curl to the flat, btw?

We do not have the size, speed or strength to compete with TCU.
Please remember that until this year we still had the PYE model hanging on.
Man I hate to say this, wait a few years.
At least SMU is not playing football on the cheap and is going to play by NCAA rules.
