I am sick of talking about Doak and the Pony Express. I want to talk about players in this generation. I have only been an SMU fan for 20 years, so I don't know those guys. They were great...but give me something to cheer about.

I ALWAYS thought that Willis at least put us in a situation where we could win. Even at 1-11, I did not feel like were were 1-11 as I had some hope.

That's true. We really weren't 1-11 last year. I don't remember the stats, but it was something like we lost 3 or 4 games by a touchdown or less.

I doubt it. He probably already forgot he coached here.

I'm pretty sure the score you lose by is irrelevant. 1-11 is 1-11. Sure it's nice to say "what if" and discount some of those losses, but some of the ones we lost by a touchdown we should have won but we blew our lead.

Would've, could've, should've..........isn't that the real SMU football history of the last 20 years?
