...and wake up when we're (supposed to be better)...

That was a big downer having that crowd and not being competitive. I admit I walked out at 34-0 and was not proud of it.

System coaches are all ME ME ME :!: See Leach at Tech.

They don't think about the players from the previous staff who don't
quite fit the system, BUT HAVE PUT IN THE WORK, AND WANT TO WIN
NOW. These coaches have a 5 year plan. They turn off fans who
endure blowoff years while they rebuild :!:

Long live coaches who serve the players they have to win NOW
by inventing new systems :!:

and I thought Art Briles was overrated. Art Briles has had a Passing QB in every year at UH but he had the sense to see that his team would better by fitting Vince Young Jr into his offense.

I remember a pretty good "system" coach named Tom Landry. Look, isnt it obvious that our players are pretty much outmatched at every position? These are the same guys who only won one game last year. The defense is horrible. It isnt JJ's "system" that is giving up over 50 points to Rice, it is a defense made up of hard working, fine young men who just don't, for the most part, happen to be Division I talent. I don't remember PB recruiting a single player for defense that was in the DMN's top 100. Darn few on offense during his entire tenure either. JJ has proven that he can win. Let him recruit some Divison I players for defense and let him teach his QB in his own style. Bo will take his lumps. Let's support him and let him know that like Mike Ford back in the 70s, he might become an All American after a very rough freshman year.
