Enough of No. 8. Opposing defenses laugh. Even if he breaks a tackle, he is good for 14 yards. He can't run away from my mother.

Put Willis in at tailback and throw the shuffle pass to him and see what happens.

Just waiting for JW to pop off. If he does, don't blame him. Find a spot for him on the field. Or give him his release to transfer.

For the same reason that Vince Young couldn't QB Jason Garrett's offense in Dallas, and Tom Brady couldn't run whatever that crap is that Young runs in Tennessee. Different players fit different systems.

Seriously? They're dabbling with the idea of making him a WR. Now you want to try another new position? Let him learn WR first.

No. Sure, find him a spot on the field, but release to transfer? Absolutely not. He's going to be a wide receiver, and I believe that when he learns the position, he'll be OK.

OK folks Justin Willis will never be an effective receiver. Where do you guys come up with this BS. He was moved because he will never play QB and is a distraction because everybody that is not a moron knows he is the better QB.

Mitchell is Jones's guy and we all better get used to it. If that means getting to leave at halftime every game, so be it.

it is never a good sign when your QB is the leading rusher on the team. and also, JW doesnt want to transfernow, he wants to graduate this year

I agree, but it's also not a good sign when you put up 7 points each of the last two games. -8 yards net rushing is not a good sign of anything.

Of course it's not a good sign. But Coach had said quite openly that "we're not ready to match up physically" with teams like Tech and Frog High. He knew what was coming, because he understands the game and what it takes to win a hell of a lot better than any of the geniuses on this or any other board. Sure, he's frustrated and disappointed with the outcome. We all are, and so are the coaches and the players. But when we played a team with talent more closely resembling ours - Texas State - we beat them, and more convincingly than the score indicated. Coach even said after that game something about how it's nice to win, but we've got a long way to go. And he's right. We'll win a few this year. Chances are we'll lose more than we win. But the teaching is evident, and the guys have years to grow and develop. Coach knows what he's doing. Believe in him and support him, and for god's sake, allow him some time to get his own players and teach his system thoroughly.

Our students leave at halftime every week. Even when we were ahead against Texas State, which is baffling. Your team is winning, and you leave at halftime? Disgraceful.

you can hardly blame students for leaving the game at halftime when the team looks like it does in the first half. there wasn't a chance in he!l that we were going to do anything in that game. i think people should just be happy that there was that much attendance originally. put a better product on the field and people will stay to watch it.

As long as people continue to show up and at least support the team to begin each game...that will be the challenge as the season wears on...even getting people to show up

If JW is going to be a WR who is going to get the ball to him ? BLM ? I don't think so.

Seriously, JJ's apparent stubbornness about BLM and not putting in JWill is pretty mind-boggling. I can't think of another time when a seasoned coach opted for a true freshman over a record-setting junior, especially this far into the season when the TF has shown that he can't handle the pressure.

Not to make too many LSU references, but LSU has a true-freshman (Jordan Jefferson) who from all accounts is the real deal at QB, but Les Miles knows that HE IS A TRUE FRESHMAN and IS NOT READY YET, so he has kept him on the sidelines to learn and opted to go with more experience at qb, even though there is less raw talent there.

I would think most schools and coaches understand that throwing away an entire season is the wrong approach. JJ can teach and try to win at the same time. The two are not mutually exclusive. Again...stubbornness. I would have the red-@ss if my name were Carl Sewell.

Or start selling beer. Half of my friends just leave when their buzzes wear off. No matter how dedicated of a fan you are, it's tough to watch your school get pooed on week after week without a drop of sweet truth-softener.
