Our record if JW had started the first four games

Some have postulated that if JW had started we would still be 1-3.
I say we would likely have beaten Rice (subtract the ints and add a running threat.) We would not have been so embarrassed vs. TT and TCU but likely would have lost, given our D. We would not be 17 pt dogs to Tulane.

I think our defense is just getting worn out from being on the field for too long. With JW, we would have been much more competitive against Rice and TCU, last year we lost both due to bad playcalling and clock management, and heck, even against Tech our def. held them to 22 points in the first half after 4 turnovers, which was pretty impressive.

I think we'd be 2-2...Rice being the difference. And that's just a guess, since having JWill wouldn't have kept Clement from shredding the D.
After having seen/heard about the TTech and TCU games, I think both teams had our number.
HOWEVER, I think despite Tulane's giving ECU all they could handle, it isn't unreasonable to think SMU can play them solid.
But the guys better be able to shake off the funk, especially BLM with all this criticism.

would still be 1-3. Lets not forget Rice scored 56 points with running up the middle with 2nd string guys starting in the 3rd. JWill never had a td pass against tech in two years. And we scored the same amount of points against them last year with him playing.

Remember 21 of those points were scored or setup by long int or fumble returns that, at the same time took away our scoring opportunities.

Actually I intended to add that but I hit the wrong button.
Is that your pick?

Also remember the situations surrounding those INTs. One was a play in which BLM's arm was hit as he threw. Another was a pass on 3rd and forever the immediate play after Aldrick Robinson dropped a perfectly thrown bomb that hit him in stride for what should have been an easy TD. With that said BLM has regressed since the Rice game in my opinion.
We are still 1-3 with Willis at the helm. However, I will concede that I think we have double digit points (10) at the half had Willis been QB vs Tech.
