DMN-JJ validates Stallion, states the obvious

I missed this yesterday:
At this point, SMU is trying everything: Just ask coach June Jones. "I thought keeping it pretty simple for the quarterback we would move the ball more efficiently but we fell well short of that."
Should we read anything into the fact that JJ refers to BLM as "the quarterback" as opposed to by name? Maybe not so much that he's going to switch him out, but perhaps a nod to StallionsModelT who suggests the coaches perhaps are somewhat taken aback by how "sensationally terrible" (I love that term, SMT) we are.
I'm starting to think that JJ really thought BLM would be the exception to the rule with true freshmen QBs. Somewhere else I read where he said BLM had the best arm, best accuracy out of all the film he'd seen.
