Are we asleep at the wheel or does SMU not make runs at "dismissed" players?

"Lalich, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound sophomore from Springfield, said he hopes to enroll by Monday at a school. He's also petitioning the NCAA in an attempt to regain this season of eligibility, which would give him three seasons left."

"Lalich graduated in 2007 from West Springfield High, where he was considered by most recruiting analysts to be one of the nation's top 20 quarterback recruits. He was considered the best quarterback recruit ever to sign a letter of intent at U.Va."

Somebody call JJ and/or Orsini and let's at least try to talk to the kid!

JJ great developer of QB's has to have some appeal!

It seems like at least two DTs a year wind up in similar circumstances. We should pursue every. single. one of them. We need some DTs with nasty streaks that we can only hope to keep in line. A weapons charge or two wouldn't hurt either.

Let's hope some of the SMU Football admins check PF on occasion!

I was under the impression that other schools couldn't make contact until the school released the kid.

From what I've read so far "Pistol Pete Lalich" to Oregon State is not a done deal.

Plus he'll probably have 3 years of eligibility left after red shirt.
