Agreed. Finally, something to build on. We have a long way to go but before the second half tonight there was no direction whatsoever.

Don't get too excited. Was only one half.
We'll see if they'll be able to actually build off of it, next week.

....Go read the game thread and see all the positive comments I've left.
Was really commenting about "loving our offense."
That same offense has done crap for 3 and 1/2 games.
It's one half of football. As I said, we'll see if they can build off of it next week.

27-34
Covered the betting spread and man did SMU play the second half.
NO QUIT.
BLM slowed down and LOOKED.
The D- forced some turnovers.
What we could do with three or four 300 pound Samoans or Tongans or Hawaiians.
We still get no push on D.
I Liked the o-line play.
BLM throws side arm.
WE HAVE TO CATCH THE BALL.

Agreed on the second half  guys showed a ton of heart when previous teams would have packed up and headed to the airport early.
If I was allowed in the team meeting room, I'd show film of the second half only, and reinforce what they did well, and try to build on that.

The "crap for 3 and 1/2 games" was by that same offense consisting of players who have never played D1 and ALL players who have never played this offense or defense for that matter. As a side note, 2 of the 3 1/2 were against ranked teams.
Yes, we need to see more consistency; but, I see these guys working hard and there are definite signs of things coming together. Let's give the players some credit.
