Yenga's about what ... 6-1, 220? Maybe?

That dude he threw aside on that sack, Tulane LT Troy Kropog, is listed at 6-6, 315 ... and Yenga threw him ONE-HANDED.

I know, there was leverage at play there, and he got the guy leaning because of his quickness, but that was one of the most impressive sacks I've seen in a long time.

And Kropog is supposed to be pro material-Yenga played last year because he was needed and he was good enough.

he pushed Rylan Reed (6'7", 315) on a bull rush back into Graham Harrell one play...Tech fans around me were impressed by Yenga and Morestead

We need JUCO help and I do not think we can spare him on the field.

He is a good player.

no way he gets redshirted now. Rarely does someone play their freshman year and get redshirted a future year w/o an inury anyway.

Usually I laugh when someone talks about NFL with one of our players, but Yenga definitely has a chance to be a pass rushing 3-4 OLB in the NFL if he continues to get better and puts on some weight. If Eric Walden gets drafted in the 6th round out of the Shunned Belt (look him up) then Yenga's definitely got a chance. The last two of our players I thought had a chance to be drafted/play in the NFL were Justin Rogers and Adrian Haywood. I guess 1 out of 2 aint bad?

If Haywood had a chance it went out the window with the shoulder injury he suffered late his senior season I would imagine. Don't know that he was quite there to make it all the way however. He was one of the best we have had on the line post DP though.

Unless he got a season ending injury, no redshirts are available to Youri at this point. And he'll be playing his sixth game soon which makes it half the season and makes even a medical redshirt almost impossible.

ahhhhh no it is impossible-based upon the second part of the most misunderstood rule on the board. What is it -to get a medical redshirt you can not play more than 10 quarters or a small percentage something like 10% of the plays.

Thank you.

But I think the original post was referring to a redshirt next year which could be done but I am certain will not be done unless he is hurt at the beginning of next year to a point that he would not be effective for several games.
